Objective
Design a unique 2-sided event backstage pass for an existing festival with original branding and logo. The pass should be captivating and reflective of the event, containing essential event details such as location, date, and security features. Additionally, the design should be adaptable for use across various social platforms.
Process
I redesigned the logo for Monster Jam, a popular Monster Truck Show across the United States. Considering the predominantly male target audience, I opted for cooler tones and rugged typography. To add intrigue, I incorporated the wordmark breaking out of a brick wall with a subtle brown drop shadow reminiscent of dirt arenas.

For the backstage pass, I aimed for originality by shaping it like a key, symbolizing the starting point of a vehicle. The background featured dirt tire tracks to align with the theme of the show. The front of the pass highlighted the event logo with the title “Roll Cage Pass” and included a QR code for ticket scanning. Additionally, I illustrated a monster truck to enhance visual interest.
